I Wrote a Hotel Refund Email as a Yelp Review They Would Never Publish. They Refunded Fast.

My hotel room had no hot water for three days. I wrote the refund email as a draft Yelp review that I promised not to post if they refunded me. "PENDING YELP REVIEW: Title: The Cold Shower Experience at the Grand Budapest. Rating: 1 star. Review: If you enjoy showering in water that feels like it just melted off an iceberg, this is your place. The staff is lovely, the location is great, but the lack of hot water for THREE DAYS in winter is unacceptable. I will update this review upon resolution." The hotel manager called me within an hour and offered a full refund plus a free night. I updated my Yelp review to 4 stars instead. Sometimes the threat of a bad review is more powerful than any policy.
