The Airbnb Refund Formula. 3 Paragraphs That Got Me $2,100.
When my Paris Airbnb was a disaster, I used this 3-paragraph formula. Paragraph 1: The booking details with specific promises from the listing. Paragraph 2: What actually happened, with specific details about what was wrong. Paragraph 3: The resolution you want, including specific amounts. For example: "I booked your Paris apartment for 10 nights at $2,100. The listing promised a safe lock, working heat, and a clean apartment. Upon arrival, the door had a padlock, the heat was broken, and the apartment was dirty. I am requesting a full refund of $2,100 and $200 in relocation compensation because I had to find alternate accommodation." This formula works because it makes your case easy for the support agent to process. They can copy and paste the resolution into their system without reformatting.
