Facebook Ads Refund Email Template for Charges You Did Not Authorize
Facebook charged my card for ads I did not run. Here is the email template that got my $300 back. Subject: Unauthorized Ad Charges - Account [ID]. Body: Dear Meta Support, I am disputing charges totaling $[Amount] for ad campaigns that I did not authorize. The charges appear on my account under campaign IDs [IDs] which I did not create. I have secured my account by changing my password. I request a full refund of these unauthorized charges. I have attached my billing statement showing the charges. Facebook investigated and confirmed the ads were created through an unrecognized device. They refunded the full amount. The key is to say "unauthorized" explicitly. Facebook's ad billing team handles unauthorized claims differently from billing disputes. They assume unauthorized means a hacked account, which gets fast-tracked.
