I Bought Minecraft on the Wrong Platform and Mojiang Wouldn't Refund Me. Here's How I Fixed It.

I bought Minecraft Java Edition thinking it would work on my Xbox. It does not. Minecraft Java is for PC. Bedrock Edition is for consoles. I bought the wrong version. My fault, but $29.99 is a lot for a mistake.

Mojang's refund policy says digital purchases on their website can be refunded within 14 days if the game has not been downloaded. I had not downloaded it yet. I submitted a refund request through their support page.

Mojang approved the refund within three days. The money went back to my PayPal. I then bought the correct version for Xbox.
