Postmates Charged Me for an Order That Never Arrived. The Driver Kept My Food.
I ordered from Postmates. The app showed the driver picked up my food and was heading my way. Then the tracking stopped. The driver disappeared. The order was marked as delivered. I had nothing.
I contacted Postmates support. The agent said the driver had marked it as delivered and there was nothing they could do. I asked about the driver's GPS data. They said the GPS showed the driver was near my address. I explained that near my address is not at my address.
Postmates refused to refund me. I filed a complaint with the California Attorney General's office (Postmates is based in SF). A month later, Postmates corporate contacted me and apologized. They refunded the full $35.
Postmates' support is the worst among delivery apps. They will fight you even with clear evidence. A regulatory complaint was the only thing that worked.
