I Used ChatGPT to Write My Refund Email. Support Immediately Detected It and Said No.

I tried using ChatGPT to write a refund email for a $50 subscription. The prompt was: "Write a polite refund request email explaining that I accidentally renewed my subscription." The AI generated a perfect, professional email. The company replied: "Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we cannot process this refund because it appears this email was generated by AI. Our policy requires the customer to personally explain the situation." I was shocked they could tell. I rewrote the email myself with typos and imperfect grammar. They approved the refund. Since then, I have learned that companies are training AI detectors on support emails. If your refund email sounds too perfect, they assume it is AI-generated and reject it. Add a typo. Write like a human. Imperfection is more persuasive than perfection in refund requests.
