How to Use a Company's Own Policy Against Them in a Refund Email
Every company has a written refund or satisfaction policy. Most customers never read it. I have used company policies against them to get refunds 5 times. Step 1: Find the company's refund policy on their website. Step 2: Screenshot it. Step 3: Quote it in your email. Example: "Your website states: 'If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will refund your money within 30 days.' I am requesting a refund under this policy. Please process it." This forces the company to honor their own policy. When a company sees their own words quoted back to them, they know you have done your homework. They are less likely to make excuses. I used this against a company that tried to deny my refund by saying their policy had changed. The original policy was still on their website. I took a screenshot and they processed the refund.
