Why Every Refund Email Needs an Order Number. I Lost 2 Weeks Because I Forgot.

I sent a refund request without including my order number. The company replied: "Please provide your order number." I replied with the order number. They replied: "Please confirm your shipping address." I confirmed. They replied: "Please provide the email address used for the purchase." Each response took 1-2 days. What should have been one email turned into a 2-week ping-pong match. Always include your order number, full name, email address used for purchase, and date of purchase in your FIRST email. Do not wait for them to ask. Agents process refunds in their system. They need your order number to find your transaction. Without it, they have to ask back-and-forth until they identify you. Save everyone time by including all identifying information upfront.
