Why Sending Refund Emails on Weekends Wastes Your Time. Send on Tuesday Instead.

I tracked the response times of 20 refund emails I sent. Emails sent on weekends averaged 4.2 days for a first response. Emails sent on Tuesdays averaged 1.3 days. Why? Weekend emails pile up in the queue. On Monday, agents process the weekend backlog in order received. Your Saturday email gets buried under Monday's new emails. But if you send on Tuesday morning, your email is at the top of the queue when agents start their day. Tuesday at 10 AM was the sweet spot in my testing. Non-urgent refund requests should never be sent on Friday afternoon. They will sit in the queue all weekend and be deprioritized by Monday's flood of new requests. Timing matters as much as content.
