Sending Your Refund Email to the Wrong Department Wastes Weeks. Here Is Where to Send It.
I sent a refund request to a company's general info address. No response for 2 weeks. I sent it to their sales address. Sales forwarded it to support. Support forwarded it to billing. Billing forwarded it to customer relations. The entire process took 3 weeks. I learned that every company has a specific email address for refund requests. For most companies, it is something like refunds@company.com, billing@company.com, or customerservice@company.com. Check the company's website for their refund or returns page. That is where they list the correct contact method. If you email the wrong department, you add days or weeks to the process. When in doubt, use the contact form on their website. That routes your request to the correct department automatically.
