My Refund Email Included a Recipe for the Food I Never Received. DoorDash Loved It.

DoorDash delivered my food to the wrong address. Instead of a standard complaint, I sent them the recipe for what I had ordered: a green curry with rice. I wrote: "Dear DoorDash, I never received my green curry. But in the spirit of making lemonade, I am attaching a recipe for green curry in case your driver wants to make his own. Ingredients: coconut milk, curry paste, chicken, basil. Instructions: Cook it, put it in a container, drive it to my address. But seriously, please refund my $28.50. I am hungry." DoorDash not only refunded my order but also credited $10 for my "recipe contribution." Sometimes making the support agent smile is the fastest way to get what you want. They deal with angry people all day. A little humor goes a long way.
