Airbnb Refund Email Template That Got Me $2,100 Back in 24 Hours
When my Paris Airbnb was a disaster, I sent this email to Airbnb Trust and Safety and got a full refund plus compensation the next day.
Subject: Safety Concern + Request for Full Refund - Booking #[Number]
Body: Dear Airbnb Trust and Safety, I am currently at [Property Name] and there are several safety issues that make this unit uninhabitable. [List issues: broken lock, no heat, unsanitary conditions]. I have attached 47 photos and a video walkthrough documenting everything. I contacted the host at [Time] and they have not resolved the issues. I request an immediate full refund for all remaining nights plus compensation for relocation. Please call me at [Number] to discuss. This is time-sensitive as I have nowhere to stay tonight.
The word "safety" triggers a different response process at Airbnb. Regular customer service handles disputes, but Trust and Safety handles emergencies. If you use the word "safety" and provide clear evidence, your case gets fast-tracked.
