How to Track Your Refund Email and Know Exactly When They Read It

I use email tracking to know when a company has opened my refund email. Here is how. I use a free email tracking service (like Mailtrack or HubSpot Sales) that adds a tiny invisible image to my email. When the recipient opens it, I get a notification. This tells me: they have received it, they have read it, and how long they spent on it. If I see they read it but did not respond, I follow up within 24 hours. If I see they did not read it after 3 days, I resend with a different subject line. Knowing whether your email has been read gives you a huge advantage. You know when to follow up and when to escalate. Without tracking, you are guessing. With tracking, you have data. I recovered $300 by following up 2 hours after I saw the company had read my email.
