Trustpilot Review That Got Me a $300 Refund From a National Company
A national subscription company ignored my refund requests. I left a 1-star Trustpilot review with details of the situation. Trustpilot is different from Yelp because national companies monitor it too. My review was up for about 2 hours before the company replied publicly asking me to contact them. I updated my review with their response. They asked me to email them directly. I did. They processed a $300 refund. Trustpilot reviews show up in Google search results for the company name. Companies with good Trustpilot ratings advertise them. A negative review hurts their marketing. The key is to write a review that is factual and not emotional. Trustpilot allows companies to report reviews that violate their guidelines. Keep it professional. Include facts and dates. And update your review when the issue is resolved. That signals to other customers that the company does make things right.
